As described in the Transformer Manifesto (Oct. 1998): 'to change the appearance, condition, character or function of something/one. A "transformer" is a dreamer who is discontent with having to accept the human condition as it is defined and limited by man made Laws... A "transformer" has trouble assessing the objects that he/she has been led to use... and does not need the approval of his/her conscience before going into action.'

Thus with this spacy-anarchical dogma, the "Stockholm Transformation Festival" was launched April 7-18 1999, where Transformers from everywhere gathered to transform art of this millenium into hommage offerings to the next millenium.
